Artificial Intelligence for Educators is a program for educators to be trained in the effective implementation of AI in the classroom.
This program is designed specifically for higher education faculty and staff, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to integrate AI into post-secondary teaching and administrative practices. Participants will learn how to leverage AI to enhance curriculum design, streamline assessments, and support student engagement while addressing ethical considerations and academic integrity.
Throughout the course, participants will explore AI’s role in higher education, gaining a deep understanding of both its opportunities and challenges. They will engage in hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity AI to support instructional design, automate grading, generate lecture content, and provide real-time, personalized feedback to students. Additionally, faculty and staff will learn how AI can assist with lesson planning, developing lecture materials, and creating efficient assessment workflows to optimize their teaching and administrative responsibilities.
A key component of the program will focus on ethical considerations and policy development. Participants will be guided in designing student guidelines and academic policies that ensure responsible AI use while upholding academic integrity. Discussions will address best practices for mitigating plagiarism risks, maintaining institutional standards, and fostering critical AI literacy among students.

This module will engage in hands-on experience with AI Tools for the classroom. Strategies for effectively integrating AI into classroom lessons will be explored, enabling educators to maximize its potential for classroom learning & engagement
This module will feature an overview of AI assessment tools and how they can be employed to deliver personalized feedback. Participants will gain practical experience using AI assessment tools and learn how to implement them in their teaching environment.
Ethical considerations related to AI adoption in education will be extensively discussed. Participants will engage in debates concerning the advantages and disadvantages of employing AI-generated content in student assignments.
This module will collaborate in crafting a student contract that outlines guidelines and expectations for using AI-generated content in assignments. Strategies for effectively implementing this contract within the classroom will be explored, ensuring ethical and responsible use of AI-generated content.
The final module will begin with a discussion on AI tools for academic research. Following that, a comprehensive course evaluation will be provided, where acquired competencies will be summarized, and feedback and discussions will be encouraged. Participants will receive their well-deserved Certificate of Attendance.
